Day 1 – Arrival in Bishkek

Welcome to Kyrgyzstan! Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest after your flight

Day 2 – Bishkek – Burana – Son-Kul Lake

• On the way, we stop at the Burana Tower

• Transfer to Son-Kul Lake (3,016 m) — a high-altitude lake surrounded by pastures

• Introduction to authentic nomadic life and overnight stay in yurts

Overnight: yurt camp

Meals: breakfast at the hotel, dinner at the yurt camp


Day 3 – Son-Kul – Kochkor – Issyk-Kul (Eletet) or Almaluu

• Stop in Kochkor village for a felt-making demonstration

• Transfer to the southern shore of Issyk-Kul — the “Pearl of Central Asia”

• Optional eagle hunting show

Overnight: yurt camp by the lake

Day 4 – (Eletet) or Almaluu – Karakol – Karkyra Valley

• Visit the colorful Skazka Canyon and the scenic red cliffs of Jeti-Oguz

• Short sightseeing tour in Karakol: the wooden Dungan Mosque and the Orthodox Church

• Arrival in Karkyra Valley

Day 5 – Karkyra – Cholpon-Ata

• Scenic drive through the Kyrchyn Gorge to the northern shore of Issyk-Kul

• Return to Bishkek via Boom Gorge

Yurt Setup Demonstration at Son-Kul Lake – 80 USD per group (1–2 hours)
A demonstration of how nomads set up a yurt. You will learn about the main elements of a traditional Kyrgyz dwelling and will be able to take part in the process

Shyrdak Felt Carpet мастер-класс in Kochkor – 80 USD per group
At the workshop in Bokonbaevo, craftsmen specialize in making large felt carpets. They have invented a unique mechanism using parts from an old tractor for combing and pressing wool

Eagle Hunting Show in Oymo-Tash – 100 USD per group (30–40 minutes)
Introduction to the ancient tradition of hunting with a golden eagle, passed down from generation to generation among Kyrgyz nomads

Highlights of the show:

• The eagle soaring high above the mountains and making a swift attack on its prey
• A story about training methods and the cultural importance of hunting
• Traditional hunters’ clothing and leather equipment
